Children at Immanuel are excited about learning and engage readily as active participants on the learning journey. We uphold a work ethic of diligence and an expectation of excellence in every endeavour, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, on the performance stage or in the playground. Every student is encouraged to work to the best of their ability. Smaller class sizes and skilled teachers mean unique learning styles can be catered for and learning needs more readily met.

New Zealand has long recognised the need for intermediary years in education, designed to help students transition from childhood into adolescence. Traditionally this transition has been catered for by intermediate schools, but there is increasing implementation of a Year 7-10 Middle School structure, that provides a longer bridging period between the primary and secondary school for students aged 10-15 years.

International students relish the opportunities provided at Immanuel to enjoy the clean, green New Zealand outdoors. Our school is safe – it is fully fenced and all belongings are secure onsite. Our students are friendly, trustworthy and of good character. International students that have enrolled at our school have had good things to report about their experiences at our school. Students attending our school participate in a whole vibrant community.

International students can live in New Zealand with parents, under the supervision of a designated caregiver, or in a homestay arrangement organised by the school.
International or domestic students are welcome to board in a family homestay arrangement organised by the school. An Immanuel family lives in a homestead on school property and welcomes homestay guests. The large renovated bungalow is sunny, comfortable and has a roaring fire to warm the living spaces during winter months.
